Hello! Welcome to JuliaPalooza for my stop on the Blog Tour for The Inheritance by Trisha Sakhlecha which was published by Century Publishing on 13 February 2025.

About the book

Most family reunions end in tears. This one will end in murder.

Raj, the patriarch and business tycoon, who has six weeks to decide how to split his petrochemicals empire between his three children.

Shalini, the fragile mother, who longs to see her family healed.

Myra, the eldest daughter and golden child, who, unbeknownst to the family, is on the brink of bankruptcy.

Aseem, the son and supposed heir, who must choose between his wife and his family.

Aisha, the fun-loving youngest daughter, who is tired of being treated like a child.

And Zoe, the outsider whose #Instaperfect life is built on a foundation of lies.

Everyone has a secret – but only one would kill to protect it…

Ok, wow, I mean WOW! The Inheritance is a total rollercoaster. It’s got drama, it’s got menace, it’s got tension and it’s got a really unexpectedly emotional punch. The Agarwal family look like the dream from the outside, with glamour, money, class, but scratch the surface and it’s a viper’s nest of greed, desperation and secrets.

The story is told from two points of view, Zoe, the influencer daughter-in-law, and Myra, the eldest child under millions of pounds worth of pressure. The style is smart and full of secrets, the setting is a luxurious island resort, the characters are bold, opinionated and not afraid of confrontation.

The story is increasingly tense, the family drama playing out with a storm building, matching the ferocity outside. The sense of menace comes off the page and I genuinely could not put the book down. The revelations are achingly dark and the ending is one to remember. A fantastic book, I would say the best of the year so far.

With huge thanks to the publisher for my copy of The Inheritance and to Tracy Fenton for my spot on the blog tour.
